Sorry, I don't follow the recruiting forum very closely. Who is the 7 footer we're recruiting in the San Diego area?

I'm not seeing anything on Rivals. But there's two listed at 6'11" on Rivals in the area. Cheikh Ndiaye and Emmanuel Ndumanya. Neither name jumps out at me as being familiar.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

I've seen Cheikh Ndiaye in person so here's a brief in person scouting report. The comparisons to EO and HU are obvious, but I like Cheikh (who goes by Shay) a lot. I think he could contribute sooner than EO has. He's officially 7'1" and 230 pounds and still growing in both categories. It would not surprise me if he was 7' 2" 240 by the time he graduates. He is still raw on the offensive side but already shows flashes. He can hit the mid range jump shot and has incredible quickness on the wing. He does need to be more assertive on the offensive side, but I think that will come when he doesn't over think things. His quickness is more in line with a WF/PF than a center. He is fundamentally sound on the defensive side of the ball. He seems to always be in position and has excellent footwork. I have no doubts he is Division I ready on the defensive side of the ball. Schools that have already shown interest: San Diego State, UNLV, Oregon State, Arizona State and Cal among others. In short: ignore the ESPN 87 grade. He's going to play at a big time basketball program. I hope that program is Wichita State.
