  • Montarius Hall 6-7 PF Class of 2012, Offered

I believe our offer to Hall is recent and our lead recruiter is Greg Heiar. Oak Hill is generally regarded as the #1 high school team in the nation. Maontarius weighs 255lbs. I haven't been able to locate his stats but found a few recent games where he scored 4 points or less.

Montarius Hall, a 6'7 2012 Oak Hill (Va.) PF, lists a Top 4 of Missouri, Kentucky, Clemson & UNCC. Also Northwest Florida"

Hall claims offers from Wichita State, Clemson and UNCC."

Continuing to offer 4's is confusing. Maybe Jake is homesick and headed back to the great white north after the year is over? Is EO graduating and going home? Are the coaches convinced that Teddy won't make his grades? One of you guys knows something.............

Unlikely that anyone on here really knows anything, but the fact is that Hawkins hasn't yet made his grades, and meanwhile, Anacreon is a lot farther from home than White is, with a lot less future opportunity at WSU.

Sullentrop tweeted that he's heard good things about Teddy's grades a few weeks ago so I dont think we need to worry about that

Jake isn't going anywhere. He works as hard or harder than anyone in the program right now, he's getting better, and the coaches love his work ethic and from all accounts, he's enjoying his 1st season as a Shocker. I'd be stunned if he left. He will absolutely help us the next 3 seasons.

I'm glad to hear that about Jake! I think he will help the Shockers do special things.

I would be stunned if he wasn't starting next season and/or playing major minutes. How many Valley teams would he be a significant contributor for this year?

Jake White is first class. He is going to be a major handful before he leaves here.

He has been getting more minutes. He acts like he may be a bit chippy too. I like that. Our teams have had too many nice guys.

Hmm . . . . Northwest Florida, isn't that the Jr. College that Carl Hall played at? Could it be that they are offering him a future scholarship thinking that he'll have to attend NW Florida first? They may know that he'll be a very good player and want to be ahead of others similar as the player at Chipola who has committed to the Shockers in 2014.
