Jalen is an incredible athlete. He reminds me of Toure a little. He's very quick and smooth but needs to work on his outside shooting. He played the 4-5 position at Nixa (HS) so it wasn't real clear how well he shot from the outside. I played some pickup ball with him and he can jump out of the gym. Seemed like a great kid too.
He injured his knee about midway thru his SR yr. It was reported that it was an ACL tear but he played the final game of the season.
A lot of schools had backed off last summer. I heard that it was because he had skipped some classes. I also heard that he is a very intelligent young man.
He probably didn't get the offers he was looking for so he may have chosen to go to a prep school. He will probably get an opportunity to play the 2 or 3 at Quakerdale and work on his shot.
