They say his on ball defense is good. Some say he is selfish on his drives to the basket and living in the past about his high school accomplishments. A lot of them said they liked him later this year I guess when Hurley went to a four guard offense. They say he started playing better. And that he seems to have recovered from his previous injuries.

Yet I understand why the shocks may be interested. After all he is a graduate transfer with plenty of experience against major competition.
Sounds like our in season discussion on Burton.

One other advantage of Gilbert is that he knows the teams in our conference, what they do and what it takes to win at this level.

Don't know what this guys credibility is, but I'm happy for him to be right.

Not a good sign that he got his name wrong, but that could be autocorrect.

Which name? He appears to have both names wrong in his post. Ha!!

I don't see HCGM promising anyone 38 minutes a game.

That would kind of mean he's going exact opposite of what he was needing to change after this year ...

Maybe Marshall is planning on Wichita State playing a lot of double and triple overtime games.

When I saw Sherfield's tweet or interview or whatever where he said, "I'm going to play PG at Wichita State", I thought that might be a problem. Burton was already the PG, and Sherfield's stats didn't indicate he had PG skills or mentality.

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Problem was that JB wasn’t a true point guard either. While GS didn’t prove to be more pg ability this year, imo he had more of a pg ceiling than JB.

You wanna be the person who has to explain that to JB?
