Not sure what his competition is, but those are some gaudy numbers. After the graduation of Murry, Kyles, and Smith we will be w/o the prototypical 6-4, 6-5 athletic wing (sans Wessel) for the first time in a long time next year.

Actually, it's better than that, Sub. The Shocks will have a 6-8 in Early who's played two years in juco and sounds like he has the skills, aspirations, and work ethic to be an outstanding D-1 player, and an incoming 6-7 in Green (albeit one who's widely expected to redshirt, although that's what everyone thought about Cotton, too) who has been described as very similar to Murry, as well as Wessel.

I also continue to believe it's a mistake to sell short Wessel's athleticism. Anyone who can be a top 11 football player at a skill position, even in Kansas, as Wessel was, has some serious athletic ability. People don't think of him that way because he's white, but Jordy Nelson and Wes Welker have been making a good living in the NFL for some time now because opponents think white guys can't make the plays they do -- and, different sport or not, athletic ability is no more important in D-1 basketball than it is in the NFL.
