Due to the huge enrollment range from the top 4A school to the bottom, 4A was split into two classes this year, each with 32 schools, like 6A and 5A.

Scott City beat Concordia (with the Holmes brothers, who scored 57 points combined) 77-75, to reach the 4A-II championship game. Scott City going for their 4th consecutive state championship. Though the other three were in 3A.
