This Summer he was praised for his faceup and midrange game and good defense on very good players. Currently he is ranked #21 for the 2013 class in the Houston area. He is from the Bahamas and Facebooks with Sunrise players.
Miller had an official with Illinois State a couple of weeks ago. Other visits have been to Tulsa, S. Alabama and Louisiana Tech.

      • More competition for the Redbirds as Miller just completed a visit to Texas A&M. Alex Kline says a decision is expected Monday or Tuesday.

        • Chipola's Chris Thomas, mentioned early in the thread signs with Manhattan. He was formerly Rivals' 10th ranked player. About a week ago I read an opinion that he is a "mid-major" type player.

          • Tavario Miller signs with Texas A&M. Miller's late blow up is unfortunate for Illinois State.

                • I am a bit concerned that WSU will not have a 7' (or nearly 7') player who has several years in HCGM's program next year. What are our prospects? Uwadiae?

Coleby (6'9", 251 lb), Green (6'7", 199 lb), Morris (6'8", 262 lb) and Watson (6'7", 240 lb) will (hopefully) be good and we will return White (6'8", 232 lb), Early (6'8", 215 lb) and Lufile (6'9", 251 lb) but it was nice to have Stutz and/or Orukpe over the last five years.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

                  • Green won't be playing in the post though. We've been blessed to have a couple of seven footers lately but they're not easy to come by. Most of them that show any signs of ability will get snatched up by "bigger" programs. I'd love to have another, but I'll take 6'9" and up and we'll have a couple of those on next years team. And I have no doubt that the staff has their eyes out for the next seven foot project they can land. But it's hard to take that chance if you don't already have depth on the squad so they can have a couple years to learn if need be.

                    • I like our post players for next year. Lot's of bulk, and athleticism at 6'8 or 6'9.

Regarding Green, he may not be a traditional post player. Marshall said that he may play anywhere from 2 to 4 depending on his guarding ability. I do forsee the coaching staff attempting to work on expanding his inside and outside game. Depending on who is guarding him, he can stretch out the bigs who are defending him or post up smaller players. His offensive flexibility could add to his already dynamic scoring ability.

                      • He'd have to get a lot bigger/stronger. Coming out of HS he was described as a 6'8" SG. I really doubt he spends much time inside unless it's posting up smaller defenders. Especially with the amount of actual post players we have on the team. Coleby, White, Lufile, Watson, Morris and even Early. Granted, we're down to three for Greens SO year but I'm pretty sure we'll bring in one or two more in the '14 class. We'll be better off with Green playing the 2/3 and hopefully being nothing more than an emergency 4.

                          • I have no concerns about the center position next year. Coleby IS good, and Lufile will be good. They are the same size with Coleby being more of a banger and Lufile being more mobile. Good combo, but still have Watson and possibly Morris as back-ups. Carmichael and Cyclops will be gone. We will dominate the MVC paint next year.
