The clever 5-11 point guard is taking a post grad year.

    This is interesting.
Marcus Floyd was selected by the Trenton Times as the All Area PG last year. He scored over 14 points a game in 5 of the last 6 games in the post season for Trenton Catholic.

              • I see there is some discussion about us adding a juco (Smith). Well, it's very possible we add another juco in Willis. I'm now predicting we add him plus one more for Fall signings for a total of four.

                    • I like Nikola, Willis, Mitchell, and Santos. Thus, I hope we sign two of these four. However, I want a Center in here too unless Shaq and Rauno really come on strong. Not sure there will be that kind of room but we will see. When you graduate 5 solid Seniors, playing time intrigues new recruits.

                      • If we get two more, that will put us at 14 for next year, which means someone won't be returning. This usually happens every year anyway, so it probably won't be a problem.

If all this panned out, then some school would get a pretty good player no matter who it might be.

Or one of the players that people THINK are going to get a scholarship don't.

                            • In his new book, “Good Profit,” Koch points to Gregg Marshall, Wichita State University’s mens basketball program and its recent run of unprecedented success stemming from the values of the players the coach brings in. Koch writes that Marshall pays especially close attention when visiting a player in their home.

"He tells me that if he detects too much arrogance at home, or a lack of respect for parents, he has an indication the recruit will not respond well to his highly disciplined coaching and emphasis on teamwork,” Koch says.

In short, WSU does’t get the top recruits in the nation. But it does get the type of players Marshall wants — and the success on the court has followed.
“His method of recruiting and coaching based on virtue is the reason why,” Koch says.

This happens every year. People don't all come back. Someone or more will be unhappy with their role and playing time. The only thing for sure is that Evan is graduating and won't be paying his own way. lol
