  • Melvin Tabb PF 2012, Offered

Per RecruitDirt, Wake Forest transfer Melvin Tabb is listing the Shockers.

Tabb, who plays now for Midland CC, is a 6-8 250 PF who was granted a release from the Demon Deacons after first being suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team." He was working toward reinstatement when he had a little run in with the law this summer which resulted in charges of felony breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and obtaining property by false pretense. Tabb was implicated for allegedly trying to sell stolen electronic equipment.

Out of high school, he was ranked by ESPN as the No. 17 power forward and the No. 74 overall prospect.

Anyway ... LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Wichita St, and UNCG are on the list.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Tabb is listed on Rivals as having been offered by WSU along with Georgia State. Averaged 9 points and 6 boards for Midland this year.

If Rivals knows what it is talking about, I don't know about this recruit.

Obviously our coaching staff must have noticed some latent talents or they wouldn't have offered. . . . . would they?

                    9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 criminal charges.

                    Fixed.

His latent talents aside I'm more worried about his latent prints that are left behind.

If the guy has cleaned up his act, hope he gets a second chance. But I think we can do better in more ways than one.

Maybe he's a criminal, but he came out of high school ranked in the top 80. We haven't had a kid ranked that high in a decade or two.

Evans was higher than that. Wilson was Top 100.
