  • Tony Bagtas Class of 2013

We are making the rounds in Georgia this week. On twitter, OntheRadarHoops reports WSU staff in to see 6-0 point guard Tony Bagtas at Westlake High in Atlanta. North Florida was also there.

More about Tony who was listed at 5-8 a year ago:

Man, our coaches are really getting around. They seem to be doing a great job on the recruiting trail.

        Wow

If he keeps growing four inches a year, he may really be something by 2013.

Slam on Line re Bagtas at the Reebok Breakout Challenge:

" Tony Bagtas – If I had to name some players that broke out in this event, Bagtas would definitely have to be in my list. Although listed at only 5-11, in the game I caught on Friday afternoon at least, he seemed uncontainable. Three-pointer after three-pointer after three-pointer, the Georgia native didn’t seem to miss. It got to the point when he did miss, you could hear the crowd’s surprised reaction. Aside from his terrific shooting outing, Bagtas proved to be a very quick and slick point guard that can get to the paint and finish at the rim on bigger guys – showing no fear or hesitation whatsoever. He also demonstrated great court vision, sneaking the ball in the paint through traffic for easy lay-ups."

Not really. When this guy would be a frosh, we'd have Cotton, FVV, Baker and Wessel. Wessel can play SF. Would definitely like one or two more for depth.

Interesting that he has interest from LSU, Georgia and Tennessee. ESPN has him rated at 75 and rivals has him offered by Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, La Salle, Murray State and Rice.

ESPN is probably the slowest/worst at updating and grading prospects. Rivals is usually the best and most accurate for recruiting info
