Honestly, if anything we are more likely to give the scholarship to a walk-on for the semester than to try and get a previously ineligible player even if it is possible.

Bowles has been guaranteed a scholarship for 4 years if he stays at Wichita State. However, because of the nature of incident Wichita State is trying to get a waiver so that the scholarship doesn't count against the limit next semester (and for the next 3 years). Basically we would have an additional scholarship to offer, instead of taking DJ's scholarship and giving it away.
