Sterling Brown Class of 2013, Offered

Sterling Brown, 6-4 SF/SG at Proviso East in Maywood, Illinois holds an offer from the Shockers. Illinois, DePaul and Ohio have also offered. The brother of NBA player Shannon Brown also has interest from Missouri, Missouri State, San Diego State, Illinois State, Tennessee and Wisconsin and the list is growing.

The Illinois Rivals site has him as the #8 ranked player in the strong Illinois 2013 class. He is know for his perimeter shooting ability and has shown he can take it to the rack, but needs to do that more often. He is a Scout 3 star and they have him as the 27th best SF in the nation.

The Shockers have catching up to do for Brown. He doesn't really have favorites at the current time but DePaul, Oregon State, Marquette and Michigan State would probably be at top. The article says he has four offers. They are from the Shockers, DePaul, Illinois and Northern Illinois. That's bad news for Ohio as their previously reported offer wasn't mentioned. His brother Shannon is a former Michigan State standout and a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
