Hawkins was in the house tonight. Saw a tough game, but liked the atmosphere.

@TheHawk_3 Nathan Hawkins....8 college visits Austin Luke....0 college visits #fml"

It's just chat between teammates on twitter but perhaps Hawkins has taken unofficials to many schools.

D/FW Metroplex Hoops ranks Hawkins #10 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the 2013 class.

One of the other schools Hawkins has visited is Texas-Arlington.

And from this week's Wichita State team report from Rivals:

"Coach Gregg Marshall has a pipeline into Texas that includes guys like Toure’ Murry and might claim Nathan Hawkins if Wichita State has its way. The 6-5 Hawkins of Rowlett High in the Dallas suburbs was at the Shockers’ game with Indiana State Feb. 4. Hawkins is rated No. 10 on the list of top prospects in the Metroplex and has the kind of athletic skills that would play in any league, much less the Valley."

Other schools Hawkins has taken unofficials to are UTA, Baylor, Oklahoma, Tulsa, SMU and Memphis. He just recieved an offer from K-State. He plans on committing after official visits. WSU, along with Creighton and a host of others watched him play in Vegas. He's very versatile and perhaps could even play point guard. TexasHoops moved his ranking up to #26.

He visited Nebraska last Wednesday. He's been on so many visits he probably got sick of it and said enough.

Nice to have the luxury of waiting on a kid with Big10 and Big12 offers. The mildcats can't be happy about losing a recruit to the huskers.
