  • Du'Vaughn Maxwell -- 2012 juco SF

On twitter, Du'Vaughn Maxwell is displaying a stack of recruiting letters from Wichita State. Maxwell is a long, bouncy 6-7, 210 lb small forward who will play at Western Nebraska CC this season.

A Scout 2-star out of high school, he signed with D-1 High Point University and averaged 7.5 ppg and 5.6 rpg as a freshman.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

From other tweets, it appears Nebraska, Colorado and Eastern Washington are also interested.

On Maxwell's departure from High Point:

The article fails to mention he quit the team on Feb. 15th after the Winthrop game.

Maxwell is named by Brad Winston as one of the top juco prospects for 2012:

"Maxwell is a transfer from High Point University. He is very good off the dribble and gets off the floor quickly when he gets in the paint. His long frame and ability to get in the passing lanes make him an excellent defender. He has a very good mid-range/face-up game."

From the above list we might want to keep an eye also on Rob Rucker. He was a teammate of Carl Hall last year and is a facebook friend of Greg Heiar. Of course Greg is in contact with many juco players. He is also facebook friends with Musa Abdul-Aleem, Matt Korcheck and Chris Cantino who are also on the list.

There have been 10 schools in, or planning to be in to see Maxwell. WSU is not one of them.

9-23 edit- Musa Abdul-Aleem, mentioned earlier in this thread has verballed to South Flordia.

Maxwell is hearing most from UNLV, Montana (offer), Hawaii and Washington State.

                Nice article on Maxwell:

11/9 update: Ranked by JucoJuntion as the #7 juco player in the class of 2012.

Not surprising that Wichita State is no longer pursuing Maxwell.
