Andre Yates to Creighton

Andre is described as a shooting point guard with range up to 20 feet. Shooting is probably what he does best, and he could be a combo guard. He is from Madison, Ohio and has transferred to Dunbar Hi which makes him a teammate of another Shocker recruit, Teddy Hawkins.

A reminder from articles in the Hawkins thread: It's been reported that Yates has Dayton as his leader. Hawkins and Yates as a package deal to Dayton has been mentioned. Perhaps the Shockers are offering this as well.

Shocks are in Yates final four with Dayton, Nebraska and Creighton. Yates and Deonate Hawkins are interested in going to college together. Dayton and the Shockers are the two schools on their final four lists that have offered both of them. Yates and Hawkins are from Dayton, Ohio and Yates says Dayton is his leader. It's well known that Dayton is going hard after both Hawkins and Yates.

Perhaps Yates and WSU have parted ways. "I'll be at Dayton (this weekend)," Yates explained. "I'm also planning on visiting Nebraska, Cleveland State, La Salle, and Creighton." Dayton continues to appear to be the leader. Deontae Hawkins will also be a Dayton this weekend.

Verbal to Creighton. Says he went with his gut feeling. I guess Dayton taking another point guard had nothing to do with it LOL.

Creighton is probably done for 2012. Visits by couple of juco guys have been canceled. One was Bobby Hatchet out of Missouri, never heard of the other. It appeared they were ready to scrape the barrel.
