Definitely needs work on his three-pointer, but the Kitties sure wouldn't want to see him, assuming they can ever figure out a way to make scheduling work with WSU. Not the ideal year, though -- he'd be yet another member of the already very large class of 2021-22.
Being choosy for a transfer is a good strategy. There will be transfers that come up next fall into Christmas. We could have good fortune and get a steal if we have a scholarship.
If he can play defense and rebound like his hair is on fire, finish at the rim, then it might be a bit easier to overlook 3pt shooting. Who knows what went on behind the scenes at WV but maybe a fresh start will do him some good. Wouldn't write this guy off yet.
True dat. Say what you will about Huggins but this kid will have had some valuable experience in playing D and making opponents hate life for 40 minutes. He should be able to hang tough with 3G's tough practices.
Maybe the fact that he is leaving WVU, which is known for its defense, is why he is leaving...meaning, his defense isn't quite up to snuff. But damn, we whiffed on three really strong candidates and that bums me out.
Yeah it feels like we've missed out on a few lately, especially when we were landing a bunch of guys earlier on. Even if we aren't able to snag somebody before the season, I'm really excited about the group we already have coming in.
