    Akoy Agau -- PF, 2013

    Per Twitter, Wichita State has been in contact with Akoy Agau, a 6-7 PF from Omaha Center H.S. who plays for Team Nebraska AAU.

    The Sudanese native is ESPN's #24 PF in the class of 2013 and claims offers from Oregon, Drake, WKU and Tennessee with interest from Baylor, KU, Xavier and WSU.

    He is described as raw and inexperienced on offense but with a high ceiling.

      Why? We'll have White as our probably starter as a JR. Odds are we'll bring in at least one more PF this year as a SO that year. He may or may not be able to contribute right away but he's obviously catching the eye of some pretty good teams and has something to work with.

      Sounds like if we want him, we may have our hands full fighting off the others. In the past, many on here have complained about the lack of presitge recruiting some our players, now we have that and some are going to complain about it anyway? We haven't offered yet, so who knows what the staff thinks, but obviously, they feel he's worth keeping an eye on. As does Tennessee and Kansas. Two schools most on here would love to beat out for a recruit.

      Time will tell and we'll see what this kid does this year.

        Anyone notice how many recruits that are primarily being recruited by non-Big 6 schools are being offered by Tennessee?

        I wonder how their fan base is handling all this attention to "that level" of recruits.

          I have noticed some of that too. At least here, they can see Kansas and feel a little better. Even Oregon and Baylor are BcS teams. Maybe they won't feel too bad on this one. But I've noticed it on others as well.

              Agau plays pick-up ball with Creighton kids regularly. His high school, Omaha Central (not Omaha Center as indicated in the original post), literally touches the CU campus. I don't believe that list of offers is comprehensive.

              I've seen him play several times and would love to have him. He has been receiving very high level interest since before his freshman year. I've heard he's a UConn lean...

              I know Creighton and Nebraska would love to have him. If it is true that those two schools haven't offered him, it is only because they feel his is not signable...

              BTW - the Oregon offer comes from Dana... McKenna is the chief recruiter for Agau....

                            Gracious comments all around, dizzle. Also, this was an interesting end to the story: "Louisville signed four-star power forward Raymond Spalding this fall, and expects to have Chinanu Onuaku, Anas Mahmoud, Matz Stockman, Mangok Mathiang and Jaylen Johnson to fill the two post positions next season."

                            Goodness. Chinanu Onuaku, Anas Mahmoud, Matz Stockman, and Mangok Mathiang -- looks like some major international recruiting for bigs going on by the Cardinals.
