He missed his entire junior high school season with a broken leg. 12 points, 8 rebounds a game as a sophomore. In June he visited Tulsa and said they were one of his favorites.

"Wright broke his leg before even playing a full quarter in his junior year of high school. Self admittedly, he figured his recruitment would be slowed because of it and he would be fighting for offers. As July has come to a close, its been the exact opposite. Wright’s phone has been ringing off the hook this July with offers and interest from college coaches.
The 6 foot 9 forward is one of the most popular players in not only Oklahoma but the region. He holds scholarship offers from Appalachian St, Clemson, Fresno State, SMU, TCU, Tulsa and others. Wright is also drawing interest from high majors like Marquette and Oklahoma.
Wright has a smooth jumper and high ceiling due to his size and had many colleges coach working hard to get his signature on a letter of intent."
