  • Laimonas Chatkevicius -- C, 2012

Shox are looking at this 6-10 Lithuanian center from Olathe Northwest.

He played for the Lithuanian U17 national team in the Worlds. He's listed as a Rivals 3-star, but from his stats and description is a more of a project. You know the drill: Great athlete with huge upside -- adjusting to the US game. ...

Missouri is the only offer so far, and Arkansas, Kansas State, Xavier, Ole Miss, Ohio and Wichita State are following

He plays AAU ball for MoKan Elite.

One wonders about how serious we are given the Henry Uwadiae signing -- but with a redshirt as a real option, you might stockpile some height for 2013 and later.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

My only question is can you afford to RS two bigs next year? Ehimen, Hall and White as we have it now. If we land the new kid, whose name escapes me at the moment, then maybe it's possible to RS both having Ehimen/Hall as our 5 and White/New Guy as our 4. That'd be two SRs and two SOs. Only bad part would be having zero experience returning at the 5. But we'd have two FR 5s. Maybe we could make do...

I saw this kid at a camp I was working.

The Mo-Kan teams always bring good talent to the big AAU Team camps.

Regarding this guy, he's big and.... he's big.

You know my thoughts about more foreign projects.

      Enough already. 8)
Above all, make the right call.

Haven't heard of him before. Perhaps he just came to the KC area. On MoKan I hear about Custer, Shields, Ojelye and of course Cauley. He must back up Cauley. Wonder if he gets much court time.

BTW I'm also still in the dark about AAU ball for Henry.

            I heard MoKan is big.

Edit 11/22 Looks like Laimonas has transfered to South Kent in the northeast. From a tweet by Adam Finkelien he may be headed to Kansas State.

Sounds like Missouri is going pretty hard after him.

Chatkevicius might need a year of prep school for academic reasons. He will be visiting K-State.

Signed with K-State. I believe he is the only recruit signing with them in the early period.
