It's unfortunate that Wichita hasn't produced many D1 players for a lot of years and now there are a lot of them, but they're so highly rated that WSU faces some long odds on signing any of them
Ellis - When you're the number 1 recruiting priority for the #1 name team in college ball, it's got to be hard to turn them down. WSU's best hope is that Perry wants his extended family and friends to be able to watch him in college.
Frankamp - From the very first post about him in the Recruiting Forum, I recall someone mentioning his family bled KU blue. That's a huge obstacle for WSU. When the KU attitude about WSU's position in the basketball world is involved, WSU has a huge obstacle in recruiting.
Thurman - It seems he just wants to get out of town. That's a factor for a lot of guys his age. Can't blame him for wanting to see another part of the world.
Those players have the ratings and talent to go about anywhere they want to go.
It's ironic that when Wichita finally produces D1 talent, the talent is so good that those guys are a difficult signing for WSU. I won't fault the staff if they are unable to sign any of these guys. They all have valid reasons to play somewhere else. Those reasons will be difficult to overcome if they were to play at WSU.
