Originally posted by RoyalShockFrom reading the opinion of KU fans, I don't think he'd sit much.
Andre wouldn't play much as Coach Self is going to develop younger players with more upside. He won't mind sacrificing some early results to get a big payback in the end.
I think there's a better chance he would get limited but important minutes later in the season if other things didn't work out, but he would there as a stop gap fill in only. No upside, no minutes.

Monday on a radio show here is what Self had to say about 2011 recruiting:
“I don’t want to say positively we’re done. We’re not actively pursuing anybody right now at all,” Self said. “Things happen in recruiting where things kind of fall your way. Brandon (Rush) fell to us in August. Certainly if we can get a player of that caliber, we wouldn’t shy off that. As of right now, that’s not the case.”Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

What happened?...
"Former Vanderbilt forward Andre Walker visited Wichita State on Monday and Tuesday. It is believed the 6-foot-7 Walker, who is also considering Xavier and Marquette, will not be visiting KU after all. His dad had said earlier this week a trip to KU was in the works."In the fast lane

This is from Shockwaves yesterday afternoon. The part about KU already appears out of date. I take it he left town without a decision, and will visit Marquette next. He appears to be down to WSU, Xavier and Marquette.
"Former Vanderbilt forward Andre Walker visited Wichita State on Monday and Tuesday. He played pickup basketball on Monday evening. He has not made a decision on where to play his final season of eligibility. He will visit Kansas soon, according to the Lawrence Journal-World, and Marquette later. Xavier is also in the picture.
Walker (6-foot-7, 220 pounds) has a college degree, so he does not need to sit out. He averaged 3.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 2011 in 15 games at Vanderbilt."

The real news here is that the Lawrence Journal-World mentioned Wichita State. I would have expected their article to read like this:
Former Vanderbilt forward Andre Walker has been in Kansas since Monday, where he played in a pickup basketball game. He has not made a decision on where to play his final season of eligibility. He will visit Kansas soon, according to the Lawrence Journal-World, and Marquette later. Xavier is also in the picture. ....Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
