Looks like we will be seeing him this weekend....

Marlon Johnson, 6'9" Joliet West, will visit Wichita State this weekend.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

He recently took an unofficial to Illinois. I believe he is the 2nd player we know who will attend the elite camp. Hope we find out about others.

"Johnson is a late emerging kid who is starting to get a lot of buzz in Illinois. He is a legit 6-foot-8 and can make a perimeter shot, but Johnson doesn’t do enough on the glass or on the interior. There is no question talent to work with here, but he must continue to get tougher and become more aggressive."

"Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall and hard-working assistant Dana Ford were front and center on the first day of the Tip-Off Classic to watch one of their prized 2012 commits--5'11 point guard Fred Van Vleet from Rockford Auburn. Marshall and Ford also kept close tabs on 6'9 Joliet West power forward Marlon Johnson.

... Speaking of Johnson, now that the cat is out of the bag somewhat, don't be surprised if he ultimately reclassifies and ends up as a class of 2013 recruit. In fact, some schools are already recruiting him with that in mind. Right now the most serious attention is coming from schools in the Missouri Valley and Horizon League."

Looks like he is out for 2nd evaluation period due to a fractured right wrist.

Johnson was just offered by John Logan JC. We can be pretty sure the Shocker elite camp attendee will be a one to watch in a year or two.

I must be missing something about that question? He is still at 3Rivers, isn't he?

I really though he was about to retire and hand the reigns over to his son a couple years ago, but it appears that he is still there and his son is still his assistant.

Illinois State gives Johnson his first D-1 offer. It appears they, like MSU are after an iffy qualifier.

Missouri State has taken a look at Johnson. Lewis and Clark has offered. No surprise, but he says he won't sign in November.
