My God......just when you think you have experienced all the emotion that tragic day could invoke.....SI delivers one more.

Beautifully written article. I wish I knew what was the driving force behind the writer's desire to pen the article.

God Bless those that perished, and all the family, friends and teammates of the survivors.

That was an incredible article. A fitting tribute to those who perished and those who are still alive today.

Probably had to do with the 40th anniversary of the tragedy coming up next weekend.

I can't help but feel a bit of shame against WSU every time I read one of these articles. To have given up after so much was spent....

It's a nice article and I wish we could further honor those memories by fielding a football team.

On a positive note, I wonder if something can be done with C-DOT by installing a turnout and small parking area for a few cars at the base of the mtn where the plaque is situated. I'd contribute some money.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Looks like the article was written by Pat Graham for the AP.

Pat Graham has covered Colorado for the Associated Press since 2006 after stints at the Longmont (Colo.) Daily Times-Call and the Raytown (Mo.) Tribune. He's a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa.
              What a great article.
