  • Which city is now the largest without football?

According to this article, UTSA has hired Larry Coker to coach their new program.

Former Miami coach Larry Coker has been hired to lead the new Texas-San Antonio football program, his first coaching job since the Hurricanes fired him in 2006.

I'm wondering, now that San Antonio will have D1 football, what's the list of other major cities in America that don't have the NFL or major college football?

I can think of one in South Central Kansas. Any others?

America's largest city is New York City, by far. See how the country's other big cities compare, ranked by order of population.

    Milwaukee, Wis.
    Portland, Ore.
    Oklahoma City, Okla.
    Long Beach, Calif.
    Sacramento, Calif.
    Mesa, Ariz.
    Virginia Beach, Va.
    Omaha, Nebr.
    Raleigh, N.C

I'm not sure you can count OKC either since Norman is in such close proximity.

            ^^ fair enough.

Also...the two biggest cities in Arkansas are Little Rock and Fort Smith and neither of those have college football teams.

At least in Little Rock, the community is assured of having at least one Hogs game per year.

True. And it's 2 per year, actually. 1 non-conference, 1 conference. Much to the chagrin of us in the great Northwest. 8)
