  • Indoor Track - Jan 24 @Texas Tech

Shockers travel to Texas Tech this weekend for their 2nd indoor meet of the season. Tech has one of the more unique indoor tracks in the nation, here is a tour of the facility from Flotrack: http://www.flotrack.org/videos/speak...xas-tech-track

Hopefully we'll see the men's team improve from last week in the distances and throws. I wonder if the jumpers will go from full approaches this week, it looks like a good place to compete in the field events.

Also, highlights from last week's meet are on youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vNjs...e=channel_page

Some pretty good marks from the Tech meet for the Shocker men:

-Ian Lindstrom looking good at 22-9 and 48-6 in the LJ/TJ
-Quan Tong, the lone Shot guy over 50ft
-Chris Allen another solid hurdle race, he is leading the MVC with an 8.10
-Nate Thiesfeld and freshman Dylan Hartnett dip under 49 in the open 400
-Arturs Lazdekalns opens up with a 1:56 in the 800
-Jared Foley blazes 21.71 in the 200
-4x4 runs 3:14, very quick in January and their B team runs 3:19!
-Middle distance guys ran well in the 1000m

LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Wichita State University track and field team got victories from senior Kellyn Johnson and freshman Danielle Walker to cap a solid day at the Texas Tech Invitational inside the Athletic Training Center in Lubbock, Texas.
