Men and women both capture 1st place at the K T Woodman.


K State finished 2nd.


The female transfer (Kellyn Johnson?) from Cloud looks to be the real deal.

The women dominated the XC meet on Saturday and Kelly Johnson set the course record in her first XC meet for WSU. It looks like they should be very strong contenders for another MVC title.

The men also won the team title edging KSU. Scott Reed was top male finisher for WSU and the top 5 were all returners except for the juco transfer from Cloud County who started strong and then faded the last portion of the race. The 4 freshman might have had first race jitters, but it would be nice to see one or two of them push to get into the top 5.

Next meet Iowa on the 15th!
