Former WSU star Rod Nuckolls qualified for the US Senior Open this week in Colorado Springs, CO at The Broadmoor Golf Club.

In a pleasant surprise, Rod has played quite well and has made the cut and will play this weekend. He is paired with Loren Roberts and sits tied for 34th at +6. He is unlikely to challenge the top of the leaderboard, but a solid weekend should put him in line for a nice paycheck.

Rod limped home today with a 76 to finish in a tie for 40th. Still, an excellent tournament and with a little luck perhaps Rod can find success on the Seniors tour.
