Join the movement and help bring back Shocker football. Learn more at www.bringbackshockerfootball.blogspot.com.
Don't listen to the beaurecrats and bean counters. Even Friends plays football. WSU football never died. It's alive and well in the hearts and minds of over 100,000 former players, coaches and fans. Join the movement today and we will once again have something to talk about between baseball and basketball seasons.

I was pretty much with you until you went out of your way to bash both the basketball and baseball programs. Which are, and always will be the face of WSU. But I'm all for the thought of bringing back football and I've been a big supporter of it on this fine site. But pissing off most the fan base by slapping the two main sports here is not a good way to get that message across.
Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
    RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

Sub, I scanned the blog and didn't see where he "slapped the two main sports". Did I miss it and can you provide directions for me to locate the offending language?

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

It's been edited since I read it as I can no longer find it. He made a comment about how we can fork over money to build a nice new arena for the basketball team to lose in and then made some comparisson about Gene to Larry Eustacey(sp). I can no longer find those in the blog.

I appreciate the feedback and I've taken your advice, but let's not get distracted from the subject at hand. I moved out of the Wichita area the same year they closed the football program and since that time, it almost feels like Shocker fans are scared to death to lose another major program that it makes them reluctant to say anything critical. I will compare my Shocker roots with anyone. They run 46 years deep. I was going to football AND basketball games before the plane crash.
Having said that, the two things I "bashed" were not opinions, they are facts. All you have to do is pick up a paper and read. It is what it is and the results are what they are. That's not my fault.
Now, back to the original point. Are you ready for football?

Yeah, like that going to happen. There is so much enthuisiasm to bring back football. Can't you feel the excitement - oh wait, that was just gas.

I wouldn't mind football but your approach of offending anybody in the way is a little odd, good luck.

Instead of wasting time chirping on yet another blog about WSU Football, use your energies to press palms and gather support among alums and local Wichitans with money. A good strategy would be to approach those in Wichita with duel loyalties to WSU as well as KSU or KU football. Those folks understand and appreciate college football and would listen a lot longer than the "WSU will forever be a basketball and baseball school" contingent.

                              Back up the bus.

If you really said something to the effect of "a new arena for the basketball team to lose in", and are calling it a fact, I have to question your objectivity and credibility.
