The back nine has not been kind to our 3, 4 and 5 guys.

2 birdies on 18 could do it. Have to get to +10.

Gage imploding on back 9 going to be the difference. That's too bad.

It's amazing how many of the ranked teams (ASU, UG, GTech) that played poorly yesterday have recovered.

-4 on the front, +7 on the back with one to go.

And Mr. Bennett misses out on low individual (not on top 5 teams) by one stroke. Close but no bananas today.

Shocks finish at 10-over on the day and fall to 8th place at 14-over for the tournament. Normally 10-over would not be a terrible score but today it was tied from the 2nd worst of the round behind Eastern Kentucky's 17-over round. Just about everyone else played much better today than in Round 1.

The Shocks are not out of contention from a top 5 finish but they will have to climb over several higher seeded teams to get there. Just not sure they have the firepower and depth to do it. They will probably have to shoot close to par tomorrow to get that done.

Fortunately, they aren't giving out any bananas today so he and the Shocker team still have some hope.

Well hell, I had it in my mind it was over today. I'm a premature Debbie Downer.

Shocks are making a move. -3 on their first nine which is the back nine holes that gave them trouble yesterday. Only 2 shots out of fifth.

The Shocks have played a very solid first 9-holes (the back 9) finishing 3-under and moving up one spot to 7th place and have moved to within 2 shots of 5th place.

Very solid team effort so far. Gage Ihrig with an Eagle 3 on 18 finished the 9 at 3-under after limping home with a 7-over score yesterday on the back 9. Grant Bennet is 1-under, LCB shot even par and Conrad Walcher and Alec Heinen both were 1-over.

Alex has stumbled a little on his 1st two holes on the front 9 though and is now at 4-over. So we have lost a little bit of our safety net.

The good thing is that all the teams in front of the Shocks opened today's round on the front 9 while the Shocks played the back 9 first.

An Eagle 2 by Conrad Walcher on #4 and the Shocks have now moved into a tie for 5th place.

Shocks now tied for fifth as the result of a Conrad Walther eagle on the par 4 fourth hole.
