OU is ridiculous. After 40 total holes played today they have 1 bogey, 8 birdies and an eagle. The rest are pars. A couple of them have to falter eventually today, you'd think. They are -9 today as a team and now lead ETSU and WSU by 18 and 19, respectively.

But kudos to WSU for maintaining. Maybe they can inch past ETSU into 2nd at some point. Georgia Tech and Arizona State are making a push up the standings, tied for 4th with Virginia.

OU's throw away score is an Even for the day.

And they've carded three more birdies just since my previous post. They now have a 20-stroke cushion over 2nd.

Even though is score is currently being dropped, Boyer also birdied his most recent hole to move back to 5 over, which is good since the better he can do, the less damage done if someone else tanks and his score has to count.

                Like Heinen with a double-bogey on 11.

                +5 Cohen Boyer
                +1 Bennett
                -4 Ihrig
                +4 Walcher
                +2 Heinen

After birdies by Boyer and Bennett:

                  +4 Boyer
                  E Bennett
                  -4 Ihrig
                  +4 Walcher
                  +2 Heinen

WSU still third at +6 overall, with a 5-stroke cushion from 6th.

                    It's now -2. Crazy.

Winning the regional would be great but what you really are shooting for is a top 5 finish. The Shocks are battling and hanging in there.

Ouch! Ihrig doubles and Walcher quintuples (10 on a par-5).

Thank goodness Boyer is redeeming his round.

I don't ever remember seeing two quintuples before. Someone must be hitting 2 or 3 shots into the water or out of bounds. If the Shocks don't move in it could be because of these blowups.

As @WuDrWu: says we just lost our one-car safety margin.

Can we say that OU has put this regional in the proverbial deep freeze?

Gage Ihrig has really struggled in his last four holes, going from -4 to +1. WSU has dropped to 5th, 3 ahead of 6th.
