We need some really good field results and ANY hope rests on this next race. WSU needs both runners to finish ahead of both ISU runners right now.

This discus did not really turn out well for the Shocks as they were shut-out. INS picked up 1 point, but I was hoping the Shocks might be able to pick up a point or two their. Not looking good at all for the guys at this point as they trail 132.5 - 127.

Well Indiana State only got 1 point out of the Discus and had reason to expect a few more.

Really need big points from the Triple and Vault to make it even interesting. I have no idea about the 5K. Both teams look to have 1 runner capable of scoring, but history tells me ISU will try and out maneuver WSU tactically, and probably succeed.

Well if Lindo could win and shut out the lone ISU jumper in the triple, things would get VERY interesting.

This is going to end up a lot closer than I expected after the 200 and 800 disasters.

WSU should be leading going into the 5K if the triple jump is scored soon. This may very well come down to the 4X400 relay....the final event of the meet.

The 4x400 would favor Indiana State 8-4. We need to pick up some points in the 5K and the TJ.

Lindo only manages a 4th place finish but they are scoring WSU up 3.5 with 2 events remaining.

Interesting that WSU's text feed is predicting a 13 point ISU win, which seems not only unlikely but impossible at this point. Maybe the scoring is off??

Maybe not....ISU looks to have 2 strong 5K guys and perhaps the winner as this race unfolds....those 2 Shocker runners have to score here...at least something.

Yeah, I think it's over. Only chance is if INS drops the baton in the 4x400..

Edit: Shocks down by 6.5 points.

The text update from WSU has ISU up 6.5 and needing WSU to win the relay and ISU finish 7th or 8th. That's going to differ from the live update scoring I think.


EDIT The 2nd ISU runner finished 3rd, and I missed that. Need ISU to drop the stick.

Sure wish Shazz Michael Lindo would have won the triple as expected. At least then the winner of the 4X400 would be the champion.

@1972Shocker:, can we get an All Sports total update from you, just for WSU? I know we're going to be over 2, but by how much?
