MSU just moved into a tie for 2nd with Evansville at 15 strokes back.

That's probably the way it's going to end, BUT the Shocks better finish strong or SWOMO is going to make a match out of this, I promise you. 15 shots is nothing in this format although it helps that WSU can weather a bad finish from 1 player as all the Shockers are +1 to +4 on the day. MSU also has a strong team day going with no dead weight, yet.

Team lead is down to 14 by the way.

Looks like the Shocks have a combined 27 holes to play and MSU has 31 holes to play.

It;s been a good 30 minute stretch for WSU. Four Shocks are in the top 6 and ties right now AND the lead is up to 16 but as '72 mentioned, more importantly a large chunk of remaining holes have now been played.

I'm putting this one in the deep freeze. Shocks up by 16 with 9 holes remaining. MSU has 12 holes remaining.

Edit: Tyler Gann just finished off his round with a birdie on Hole #3. Shocks up 17. (Actually Tyler had 1 more hole to play which he parred)

I will call Tyler's birdie the official put in the deep freeze hole of the tournament.

And it looks like MSU's Daily Young folded at the end, bogeying 3 of his last 5 to hand Hunter Sparks medalist honors.

MSU's Daily Young bogeyed 3 of his final 5 holes and WSU's Hunter Sparks is now leading the medalist race.

And the only guys with even a longshot chance to catch Hunter is two Shockers, Louis Cohen-Boyer and Calvin Pearson.

It's officially over with the Shocks coming home with a very, very solid 18 stroke victory over 2nd place MSU. I beleive this was their 5th consecutive MVC Championship.

As mentioned above Hunter Sparks wins medalist honors. More impressively all 5 Shockers finished in the top 10 in individual scoring. Great team effort guys.

Another positive is that the Shocks have no seniors on their roster. Their top 5 includes 3 juniors, a sophomore and a freshman. 2nd place MSU fielded a team of 3 seniors, a junior and a RS sophomore.

Shocks look very well positioned to make it 6 in a row next year.
