The Shocker men's golf team rallied from 16 strokes back in the final round to win the Desert Invitational Saturday at the Palm Valley Golf Course.
Junior Rafael Becker continued his superlative play winning medalist honors with a 14 under par 202 (68-68-66)
Freshman Louis Cohen Boyer and Junior Hunter Sparks also had top 10 finishes at shooting 210 and 211 respectively.
The Shocker team shot 283-281-272 = 836 (-28) to win by 2 strokes over BYU.
Not sure who the host school was for this event but it is nice to finsih ahead of K-State (856), Tulsa (858), Kansas (860), Nebraska (871) and Creighton (886) among the 15 schools in the field.
Shocks were ranked #36 after their win in Florida last Tuesday. This could move them up a notch or two.
Stay hot guys. Stay hot.
