The Shocks down former Valley tennis rival Drake 4-1 for its 2nd win of the season over the Bulldogs. The Shockers and Bulldogs often battled it out for the top spot in the Valley. Drake was typically a pretty strong program in men's tennis although the MVC no longer has enough teams on the men's side to sponsor a men's tennis championship.

The Shocks move to 8-3 on the season and seem to be playing fairly well. The Shocks take on DePaul this morning at 11:00 am in Des Moines.

Shockers Claim Second Win of the Weekend

The Wichita State men's tennis team tallied their second win of the weekend with a 4-1 triumph over the Depaul Blue Demons, at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center, in Des Moines, Iowa. This makes the Shockers an impressive 9-3 on the year.

Danny Bryan's squad will be back in action Sunday as they head to Iowa City, Iowa, to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes at 2 p.m.

I think Iowa will present the Shocks with strong challenge on Sunday. I think this one may very well be 4-3 one way or the other..

However, Murkel Dellien and Marius Frosa upset the No. 10 doubles team in the country in the process.

Sophomore Orel Ovil is from Israel. He had a pretty good fall. He's a smaller guy at 5-9.
