Shocks are in 5th at the conclusion of the 2nd round with a very solid team score of 279 (9 under par) for the round. An 8 stroke improvement over Round 1.
Rafael Becker and Hunter Sparks led the way this morning combining to go 5 under with Calvin Pearson even and Tyler Gann 4 over.
This afternoon Calvin and Tyler combined to go 7 under with Rafael coming in at 1 under and Hunter at even par.
Get all four guys going good in tomorrow's final round and the Shocks can perhaps move up the leaderboard a couple of spots.
Looks like a pretty decent field.

#22 Virginia birdies 9 of their first 12 holes as a team this morning to go up by 11 shots over 2nd place Virginia Tech. That probably pretty much locks up the Tournament Title even though they have 60 holes remaining as team.
Shocks 1 under early still sitting in 5th but only 1 shot out of 3rd.

Shocks finish 3rd at 12 under well behind #22 Virginia and East Carolina.
They finished 2 ahead of Iowa State, 3 ahead of #41 Virginia Tech and 4 ahead of #30 Wake Forest.
Each team has 5 golfers and the Top 4 scores from each round count.
Scoring for the Shocks:
Round 1: Hunter Sparks -4, Rafael Becker -1, Calvin Pearson even, Tyler Gann and Louis Cohen Boyer both at 4 over. (Team score: -1)
Round 2: Tyler Gann -4, Calvin Pearson -3, Rafael Becker and Louis Cohen Boyer both -1. Hunter Spark's even par round not counted. (Team score -9/-10)
Round 3: Louis Cohen Boyer -2, Hunter Sparks -1, Rafael Becker even and Calvin Pearson +1. Tyler Gann's +3 not counted. (Team score -2/-12)
Good team effort by a team a consisting of 3 Jrs (Sparks, Becker and Gann), 1 Soph (Pearson) and 1 Frosh (Cohen Boyer).
Nice work guys. :good: :goshocks:
For some reason Louis Cohen Boyer is not listed on the roster but he was signed last April. Here's his signing announcment:
Wichita State University men's golf Head Coach Grier Jones announced the signing of Louis Cohen Boyer, a native of Paris, France, for the 2011-12 academic year.
The Shocks signed two other players last November that are not on the roster either:
So I guess they just have not got around to updating the roster for the Freshmen.
