WSU swept Creighton to advance to a big semi-final match against ISUR on Saturday.

WSU shouldn't have lost to the Redbirds in the regular season...we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Drake awaits the winner, after they dispose of their opponent Saturday.

Either team will have their collective hands full with the #1 seeded Geese.

Shocks pick up the doubles point against Illinois State and have split the two singles matches completed so far for 2-1 lead.

The remaining 4 singles matches are very close and could go either way.

Update: Shocks just picked up another singles win for a 3-1 lead. However, the other 3 matches are very close (all into the 3rd set) and it is not in the bag yet. Shocks need to pull out one more singles win to advance to the finals.

ISU must win the remaining 3 matches to advance over the Shocks.


2 matches are even in the 3rd set. The other WSU is up a break in the 3rd.

Jr. David Cavalcanti is about to send the Shocks into the finals against Drake. He's up 2 breaks in the 3rd now.

Shocks clinch and advance to the finals. They'll need their match of the year tomorrow to get past the Geese.

Drake takes the doubles point in extremely close fashion.

Shocks won the #3 doubles 8-4 but lost both the #1 and #2 doubles in tiebreakers at 9-8.

It just doesn't get a whole lot closer than that.

That really hurts. It's hard to see us doing better than a split in singles.

Vlad is toast at the 1 against Drake's best.

That means we need 4 of the remaining 5. Maybe Brad can pull a rabbit out of his hat?

The rabbit was a no-show. Shocks fall to Drake 4-0, atlhought the match was more competitive than the score indicates.
