Weems turns it over. then in some weird turn of events, Creekmore ends up guarding Wedel, who decide that was a good opportunity to put up a 3, which Creekmore blocked.

DU fouls Leonard, who makes 1 for a 4-point lead and around 20 seconds left.

That makes the 5th conference game for the Bears that the ball has been in the air to decide the game at the buzzer (or at least tie).

Teams that do not foul immediately drive me crazy (as does WSU some times). IMO, Drake needed to extend the game as much as possible and try to trade 3 for 2s and 2 for 1s. Last year, Texas Tech showed you can come back from a large deficit in under a minute despite the fact that WSU made every single free throw. Tonight, Drake gifted 40+ seconds of the last minute to MSU and still had a chance.

Am I nuts for getting angry about this? The idea isn't that much different than the idea that an out is the single most valuable thing in baseball....

At least Drake managed to make shots down the stretch. CU absolutely made my head explode!
