Tend to agree. Chances to win with free throws numerous times and failed. Shoot less than 10% from 3, and eeck out the win. Seem to play down to the opponents level the last few games here--or at least let them dictate the game.

+1000. They did everything they could to give it away. InSU just didn't take it.

          That is all. 8)

          • Ben Smith with 2 of the biggest shots of the night. Murry with a big one at the end, JT really played tough as did Stutz.

JT with 30 minutes on a bad foot. Great Effort!

                  • All I can say is whew...........

Interestingly the Shox won by the same margin they should have won in regulation.

                    • I actually didn't think we played horribly. Missed alot of 3 pointers but lets face it...valley teams aren't gonna let us jack them up as freely as the non-conference did. Our 3pt percentage was skewed a little anyway because Kyles was nailing them at such a high rate early in the year. I thought that we had alot of guys really hussle more than they had been. There was some fight in this team and they finally pulled one out. I believe this kind of a win can really lift this team back up. Guess we will see.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

                      • Just got back from game...intense & exhausting. If you're going to go 55 minutes, might as well win baby. The tough players tonight were JT, Gabe, GS, Rags, Toure' & Smith. What warriors.

                        • I agree that JT showed a lot of toughness tonight with what he gave us, although he did struggle from the line. He really looked like a man going to the basket for the tying basket in regulation and for the basket in OT3 to put the Shocks up by 5.

I thought Ben had the two biggest baskets of the night with his treys in OT2 and OT3. The one in OT2 brought us back from the brink and the one in OT3 gave us the momentum. In addition, he followed his trey in OT2 with the best pass of the night to Garrett for an easy 2.

I thought Toure was still fighting himself until OT3. Hopefully, his play in OT3 will give him a boost in confidence and get him going again.

I think all the guys played hard. Shocks simply could not find the range from the perimeter and they had plenty of wide open looks.

Shocks fortunate to win this one but we ain't givin' it back.

                          • This game shows what can happen when a team plays with heart and gets on a roll. There is no way ISU should have taken this to OT. I am giving them credit that they refused to give up and almost pulled one off. I hope this gets us on the mental roll they are currently on.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

                            • I was shocked to see we shot 70% from the FT line. I know we shot better in the 3rd OT, but at the game it felt like we shot about 50%.

JT, Toure and Aaron were 9-18. The rest of the team was an outstanding 19-22 (which was what INS shot for the game). JT and Toure are normally pretty solid. Aaron's shot seems to come and go.
