While it looks bad and MT should not have let him go to Texas A&M, I think that the facts are that Bowles signed with WSU with Turgeon as coach. When Turgeon left Bowles asked for and was given his release. He wanted to follow on to Texas A&M but was told no. He still wanted to go to Texas A&M and was told if he did he would never play very much. He did not play very much and then transferred on to James Madison. Turgeon did not try and get him to follow him to Texas A&M. At least this is what Spinelli told me at the airport in Wichita after Turgeon had taken the position to go to A&M.

I appreciate all the thing Turgeon did while he was here. The fact remains that he sunk lower than Huggin's when he poached a recruit from WSU. You do not accept a recruit from your former University when you move on after spending the former University's money on recruiting. Doesn't matter that the recruit spent his time keepimg the water cooler company. Mark Turgeon is a good coach, wishing him well? Nope not here.

April 2007
Mark: Honey, I don’t know how to tell you this but I leaving you for another.
Us: But Mark, we’ve had a good seven years together. Look how far we’ve both come. I know the past year has been disappointing but look to the future. So our past couple of litters have been less than expected, we have the quadruplets coming in next year. We have so much to look forward to.
Mark: Look, I love you and the kids but the fact is she has a ton of money. And I mean a ton of money. Money I just can’t refuse.
Us: But Mark, do you really need all that much more money. You’re family here.
Mark: Sorry, but I’ve got to think about me. Remember, I love you and the kids but I love me more.
Us: This is just terrible Mark. Will you come and visit us sometime?
Mark: Well, no. My new girlfriend and her family don’t think I should socialize with people like you.
Us: I can’t believe you’d say that. What about all your equality speeches?
Mark: Well, you know I’m going to be in a different pair of shoes now, Adidas I think. After all, isn’t equality a matter of perspective.
Us: What about the rest of my family? My siblings, you’ll come by and see them won’t you? After all, they also helped you get where you are today.
Mark: Actually no, I’m not going to associate with any of your family. Look, you were aware of my highbrow past when we met. I know from being with you for seven years that you are much more worthy than I ever thought. The point is I’m now back in the social level I was raised with. I can’t afford to have my new friends see me hanging around with the middle class.
Us: But Mark what will I tell the kids?
Mark: Tell them I loved them but I have some new kids to love. They may be mad for awhile but that’s life and life’s not fair. Besides these new kids come with stars. They’re just like my friends from the old neighborhood. Boy would I like to move to my old neighborhood.
Us: Well, I guess this is goodbye.
Mark: Yes this is goodbye. By the way, I’m taking one of the quadruplets with me. The big one.
Us: Mark, you can’t do that. That’s just not ethical.
Mark: Baby, I love you, but those are middle class values. I’m with a different class now. This is all just part of the BCS game. Ciao, baby, ciao.Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Agree with you on this. MT knew DB can play (he said it many times while at WSU), and still let him go. I think DB's transfer confirmed the fact that MT didn't try to steal from WSU. IMHO, if MT really wanted DB at Texas A&M, he would make DB happy and stay. 8)Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive. (Mt 21:22)
