Virginia has a HUGE opportunity on Thursday at home vs. Maryland. A win there would push their rpi closer to top 100. Then, their at Wake Forest over the weekend. They could get 2 wins this week.

For years we have sat on our high horse and stuck with the 1 and 1 ego trip.

And just where has it got us? During the last number of years, other than the home and away under the BB umbrella, we played Texas Tech, TCU, and LSU, all of which have ended now. And the only multiple year series we have is with Tulsa, which is is great.

So if we can't work annual two or three more annual home and away games with other schools that aren't pansies, then perhaps we need to swallow a little pride and annually shedule a couple of one-fers.

If we want a schedule that doesn't put us into the situation like we have this year, we probably are going to have to do that. However, WSU appears to be dead set against doing a one and done. Perhaps K-State is a possiblity to play the Shockers at IBA in a 1-1-1 type of deal. It's probably the best hope we have but a long shot.

Yup, I wouldn't jump straight from home and away to "one-fers". I'd try 1-1-1 and then 2 for 1 deals first -- either of those is better than a 1fer. And I wouldn't do a 1fer with K-State under any condition, unless it was at our house or IBA. KU on the other hand would get a one-fer at their place.

I don't think KU would even take a one-fer at their place against us. They can't take that chance.

Right, I was saying we wouldn't refuse that situation -- not that they would agree to it. :)

We ought to offer Ku a one game deal at Intrust. We could charge $81 a ticket, which would bring in over $1.2 million dollars. We give them a $600,000 guarantee.

With the Lew Perkins problems, the Mangino buyout Ku is having money trouble right now. We could offer to help them out. ;-)
