A man named Paul said this to me:

    "Sean,

Apparently, you have never been to the Q where the Bears have won 18 games in a row. Your shockers gave Missouri State their best shot and Fox Midwest for everyone to see. Better stay in high school. Wichita State has a nice team and should do well this year. Watch the game at MSU and you will see a real college basketball atmosphere."

Let them "Bar" fans enjoy it, they are setting themselves up for a fall. The Shocks keep winning and the question is moot.

    Go Valley!!

    Go Shocks!!!!

No doubt, if JQH is to have a sell-out this season, it will be against the Shocks and the place will more than likely be a great college basketball atmosphere.....for one game at least (and they should thank WSU for it).

I think a prerequisite for a fan base and its arena being a great college basketball atmosphere is having it game in, game out, regardless of the competition. 3 Valley games at Koch = 3 sell-outs, 3 Valley games at JQH = avg of 25% of the seats empty. Lowest attendance at any game at Koch = 10,154 or 97% full. Lowest attendance at JQH = 5,092 or 46% full.

Their success must be inflating some major egos.

You are the guy that walks into his house holding a turd and exclaims "look what I almost stepped in!"

I think Shock Talk pretty much took care of that.

I give the Bears credit for what they have accomplished this year so far, and any publicity for the Bears is also good publicity for the Valley.

The problem is all the betting sites I frequent still list them as SMS...so I have a hard time finding their games sometimes. I also noticed ESPN had them listed as SMS this year a few times...what that means is, no one outside of the Valley gives a turd about them.

Paul has probably never been to CKA and is probably a child. He's obviously proud of his team and rightfully so... They are having a GREAT Moval season thus far. I've learned never to dash the hopes and dreams of kids but rather let them learn reality on their own and provide a cushion to soften the blow.

I do plan on going to MSU's JQH Arena this year to see the Shox play and hopefully will see an incredible inimitable college basketball atmosphere (at least for MSU standards).
