I don't get this guy. First off, I don't get what double g means but I don't have a Nebraska education so maybe I won't ever.

Second, I don't understand his hate for our coach. CU still has quite the winning record over him. I think I've asked this question before and it was explained and I was still left wanting.

Third, and I think I've also asked this, who the heck is he? Let me put some context to that question...

Paul Sullentrop is the shocker beat writer for the city paper. Bob Lutz is the senior sports writer for the city paper and has a long running local radio show. Bruce Heartl is head of the highest rated (or sometimes highest rated) sports department in town and also has the radio show. Keven Keitzman has a long running radio show in KC. Etc. etc. etc. I know these guys and they have credentials.

All I can find on Matt is he has a crappy blogsplot blog (and apparently a god awful taste in music) and is kinda fug.

I can't remember the exact context, but the double G thing has something to do with an interview or press conference or something where Coach Marshall got a little testy about having his name spelled incorrectly, with only one G. I'm sure someone on here can remember the details more precicely than me.

The Double-T/double-G conflict started when MP first arrived in Omaha and evidently tried to get on the bandwagon by doing a crappy interview with Marshall and then going on a 15-minute tirade about how rude Marshall was.

Matt didn't actually prepare much for the interview, but the tirade after Marshall hung up on him seemed well-planned and possibly even rehearsed.

The interview questions included such gems as whether Marshall was planning on winning some games in the coming year, basing questions on lead-ins that had inaccurate info, asking questions that only produce one-word answers and then getting upset with only a one-word answer.

Marshall hung up on him.

He asked GM what the injury status was with Matt B after his concussion. Marshall said he was day to day. Matty P followed that up with the genius question of if Matt B was going to play against Creighton the next day. Marshall then put him on speakerphone. Then Matty P was pissed and he invented the internet.

Man, I hope we give him plenty more reasons to explode with hatred over the next 20 years, unless he gets exiled to North Dakota first. He'll sit in an attic apartment he rents from a 94-year old couple and will broadcast his "show" to the neighborhood with an FM transmitter.

The Timberwolves are a pathetic team -- but one bright spot has been the play of AT. Averaging about 18 minutes a game, the "A Train" is shooting 47% from the field, 44% from 3 point range and about 73% from the stripe. It looks like he is off the DL and playing again. A reason to watch the Minnesota boxscore -- the only reason to do so.

I love Matt, because the majority of BJ fans hate him so much! Lately I've visited their site a little bit, leading up to our game with them, but it's completely dead and seems to have been completely dead for the last several months. Granted I know they have a pay section also, but combine those posts with the free one and it's still dead. Their old site was so much better. He has single handedly destroyed the CU message board and CU fans know this. Look at the front page of both the free and pay boards...the 1st pages of both have posts going back to well before Christmas...our front page goes back to...well....yesterday.

Except for being a toad and anal izing about the SHOX most of his comments weren't too bad. But he really does have a hard on about anything WSU. Somehow it just does not serve him well. He doesn't know the difference between their and there like some of the posters here.

That's another great thing about Matty Pee. His grammar and writing skills are atrocious. I love seeing how many errors I can find in his headlines and articles. Rivals is lucky to have a guy with that caliber to be a part of their network.

Moose hit it best. He destroyed the sCUm online community. There are easily more sCUm fans who hate the guy than who can stand him, by at least a 20:1 ratio. I think that's what makes it the funniest of all!

I kind of enjoy reading about the guy...in a train wreck sort of way, you can't take your eyes off it. I'm looking forward to the day where he's out of the "media" business, which seems like it could happen at any time. I wonder what his contract is.
