I'm not quite ready to say St. Louis or bust, but I'm starting to think we might want to start discussing the benefits of a home game in the post season.

im tired of worrying about it. hope the shocks have a good season and coach can help them secure a tournament spot. It's going to be tough as usual.

The one big chance we still have is to stay close to MSU and force them to continue to have to play their top 3 a lot of minutes. Even tonight, they only made ONE FG in the last 10:30 of the game.

If they wear down, and I think they will at this rate, they will be ripe for picking in our last game of the season at Springfield and in the MVC tourney.

Royal, I agree, but I still expect the Shocks to end up as regular season champs. I believe superior talent and depth will pay off over 18 games, one of which is likely to be a WSU win in Springfield.

Having said that, though, I obviously agree -- as my posts elsewhere make clear -- with anyone who says that the one potential fly in WSU's ointment is PG play. That has to be fixed, and my positive expectations are based on the belief that it will get better. If it doesn't, I'll probably end up being disappointed.

I think we will beat the Bears in Springfield. I never expected us to go 18-0 in Valley play.

I am still hoping we go at least 15-3 and we win the regular season title.

The best case scenerio for us and the Valley would be if both SMS and WSU finished tied for first with a 17-1 record and then we both faced each other in St. Louis for the MVC Championship. I know it won't happen but it would be great.

I saw a MO State fan tonight wearing a top that said SMS. If their own fans still use SMS, I think I can too.

I still use SMS some. Sort like the terms of endearment I use for NIU and sCUm.

Well, whatever they are called, they played some terrific defense last night, shot the lights out, beat us on our own home court, and have won three away games against the pre-season top rated teams in the Valley.

Not bad for a formal directional school.

I, personally, would like to see MS make it into the top 25. For beating a top 25 rated team on their court, is likely the only chance we stand to get an at large NCAA birth in case we don't run the MVC tournament.
