  • Played bad BUT.............

Ok...the Shox played terrible tonight....BUT....as bad as we played we still had a chance to win at the end. I'm not making excuses but I get tired of people in here wanting to make crazy changes across the board because we lost 1 game in the valley. Did anyone here think we would sweep the valley? I didn't.....we played bad and still almost won. I expect the winner in the valley will have at least 2 loses.

I expected to sweep at home. If we can't win at home what are we going to do on the road?

Our first sunshine pumper. One change at PG is not changes across the board.

Your prognostication means we can lose exactly one more game this year. Does anybody really think we will lose only once in our next thirteen games?

I say we finish 12-6 at best with still a chance to win in St Louis because of our depth.

Instead of being in control we now need Missouri St to mess up. Sucks to not be in control right now. Championship teams win at home. We aren't ready yet. Time to get over this one and demolish Creighton on wednesday.

This was one of those games when nothing seemed to go right. I watch a lot of b-ball, all teams go through it once in a while. Put this game to bed and move on.

            Tough hard fought game.

Shocks were horrible at the line and horrible shooting the ball. MSU is good and played very well withstanding our comeback. Toure had a particularly BAD night.

Don't get down Shocker fans! We're still a VERY GOOD TEAM!!!

We are a very good team, in a very bad conference with a very small margin of error. Things just got tougher. Gotta protect the home floor.

Sweeping Creighton would ease some pain. I acutually picked us to win this Conference, but with 4 losses. I am not sure Mo State will lose 4 because they are winning some tough road Valley games.

It not that they lost, but how they lost. MSU tried to give the game to WSU and only thing Murray could do is throw a pass to Marshall.

MSU might sweep the valley. Who do you really see them beating them know?

When has the last time WSU won in Omaha? That is probably loss #2 for WSU. I see WSU probably losing 1 or 2 more games on the road before finishing out in Springfield. Can you expect WSU to win there?

A nice win for the Bears, congratulations it was well earned. With the amount of talent, experience, and depth with this Shocker team, a home loss is unacceptable. This being said, refocus, re-commit, and move on. As another has already said "put it to bed and move on" this is the most appropriate course of action. It's a long season and the Shocks are still in the fight.

                      Go Shocks!!!!

Missouri State is absolutely in the driver's seat with road wins at UNI, CU and WSU after only 5 games. With the toughest part of their schedule in the rear view mirror they may not lose more than a couple games in the MVC if that.

We have had 3 games this year where the lights where shining their brightest. UConn, SDSU and MSU. We have not responded well. That doesn't bode well for winning the MVC Tournament.

It will be interesting to see how the team bounces back on the upcoming road swing to Omaha and Des Moines. I'm guessing they will make a good showing.

Actually I do expect us to win in Springfield. I think we are deeper than they are. It will be at the end of the season and SMS should be tired. Plus we will have the revenge factor and hopefully at least a share of the Valley title will be on the line.

Indeed, very interesting to see how they bounce back.

It's on HCGM now to have these guys back on track and ready for this road swing.

Win the next two and the ship will be righted and moving forward again.

The biggest thing is to insert Ragland as the PG and move on.

Murry has been adequate while Ragland adjusted to life in the big time. He now looks ready to assume the reigns and run the show.

                            That is all. 8)

I would like to add that DWill has also stepped up. He hit two big time back-to-back 3 pointers last night -- when we sorely needed them -- then was yanked for the turnover even though he was hot.

But here's the rub ... the turnover wasn't all on him. The forward he was kicking out to was coming in toward the play but wasn't even watching! I really do put that turnover on the forward not paying attention to the play -- the ball was well placed in to space right in front of him.

I can see how that turnover from the coach's corner would have looked like it was DWill's error, but from the "see-all" position, it just wasn't.

What did it look like on TV?
