  • "State" of Illinois

We will likely be 6-0 against the Illinois schools this year. Lowery has a disaster on his hands, Les has been mediocre except for 2006 and nobody has done less wiJth talent than Jank. It would be great for the MVC if all three were stronger. I think all three coaches are in jeopardy.

      Way out in left field.

Obviously you haven't seen SIU play. While not a rebirth of the early 90s, the team is nowhere near terrible.

I count nothing as given, even as well as the guys have played so far, + in your scenario, we'd be 7-0 against Illinois teams, with a better than average chance of at least 1 game in the postseason.

I am sure you mean someone other than Chicago State.

The 6-0 was in reference to Valley play. I'll give Les a pass due to injuries. Lowrey can't keep players and the current team is not good. I still think Jank does the least with the most. There have got to be rumblings in Illinois. There sure would be in Kansas. I would like to see them all better for our benefit.

I meant Cleveland State which is obviously not in illinois.

They did get beat pretty bad by Butler though.

Left field is starting to look at most like Fenway Park.

My original post was to see if anyone else thought those three coaches were in danger of losing their jobs. I think strong Illinois schools benefits WSU and the MVC. Sitting in the middle of Chicago, St. Louis and Memphis provides a good recruiting base and , in my mind, should result in strong programs.

They are not perfoming to my expectations and by the looks of the stands, the expectations of their fans. I am not head hunting. It was just my observation and I chose to post to see what others thought. I didn't take your comment personally.

The State of Illinois is now 6-24 in the Valley. This is not good exposure for the Valley (Chicago/St. Louis/Memphis). I still think some of these coaches are in serious jeopardy.

I thought he would probably be safe for another year based on the injuries he faced. But if he goes 0 fer, who knows. Does he have a good class coming in to go with the two injured players? Could make a difference.

Neither Les nor Jank should be buying green bananas.
