  • WSU VERSUS MO-STATE PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSION

Here's the deal. What happens when the big boys come out to play? I know, I know. The Shocks prove to be a contender and not a pretender. How? A Shocker 40 minute convoy where we go huntin bear good buddy. Thus, 21st and Hillside will reveal the bear facts that we will move to 5-0. Am I taking this game lightly? No possible way and neither will the Shocks. We have waited too long for a banner Season and THIS will be our Year to remember. There is NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Ok this one is gonna test us big time. The bears seem to have some aggressive players that can take it to the hoop one-on-one. If we don't have help defense we MAY get beat. We all know how poor our help defense can be. I'm glad this one is at home cause I don't think we win in Springfield.

    WSU - 68
    MSU - 64

If this team continues to get off to a slow start then it very well may be a loss. I'm saying we win by 8 but if we do start off slow, all bets are off.

I have a hard time believing that we will start every game of the season on a lethargic note. Coach and players know the signifigance of this early season conference leaders battle and I think Sunday night may be the game where we explode off the get go and carry it through the entire game. Can't wait to find out. Go Shocks!!

This will be another double digit win in Koch. Beat them 3 times last year. They have basically the same team. Shocks are better.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Da Bears go only 7-deep. Their backcourt logs alot of minutes. They are skilled, well coached and score off assists much like we do. This is the game Aaron Ellis will earn his stripes. I have harped against his low-post defense because he gets pushed around, however he is built perfectly to chase Kyle Weems around the floor. But wait!!! Gabe Blair comes off the bench and can guard quick and agile 4's as well. I like this matchup. If Weems scores in the 15-20 point margin, he will do it with a 2 lunch pales under his arms. Shockers should win by 8-12 points. Solid win...hello top-25.

One of these days, the Shox will be hittin on all cylinders at the Chuck for close to 40 minutes. This will occur on both sides of the floor. When THAT does occur, and it will, I pity the foe that gets in our way. Futhermore, FSF is supposed to be one of the eternal optimists here on SN. Thus, I am getting sick, and I am getting tired of underestimating our beloved Shocks.

We swept MoState last Season but they are a very good Valley Team with everybody back, I think. It will be intense at 21st and Hillside so come wearing your yelllow garb and let's get ready to rumble, rattle, and roll over some bear!!!!!!! See you there.

This one is definately on the national radar. It's as big of a game as there can be for early January.

The problem I fear is whenever we do fire out to big leads early, we tend to sit on them, go disinterested, get sloppy, and slowly choke away our big lead.

I would actually prefer a solidly competitive game through about a half, with the Shocks turning it on in the second half for a solid 8-12 point win. I imagine this may be closer though. MSU has already proven to be a tough road team surprisingly.

A few MSU fans on MVCfans.com don't think this will be close and think MSU is clearly the better team. I wish our team could get a look at that stuff... let them know people think MSU is the better team and will roll all over them..

                      then see what happens..

                      Official prediction:

                      WSU - 81
                      MSU - 76

                      The place WILL be rockin.
                      Deuces Valley.
                      ... No really, deuces.

Are we talking about Texas Southern caliber or Missouri State caliber?
