  • UNI @ ISU (blue)

UNI is getting hammered 38-15 at the half. Is UNI that bad or is ISU an up and coming team?

            N. Iowa lost 3 very key starters. However last Season againt us and KU, they went 8-9 deep strong. That goes to show you that going 5-6 deep is not as productive but this score is shocking. Yikes!!!

That is stunning. I think it is a combination of UNI being terribly inconsistent and Indy State improving.

The Sycamores have won three Valley games at home all by 14 or more points.

They will be very tough to be beat at their place this year.

UNI had to be playing out of their minds in Vegas.

They are a team that if they don't hit early, they won't hit at all. They are a team that is barely destined to avoid Thursday.

InSU has now clobbered two conference opponents without their two "best" players.

I know UNI shot horribly, but the Sycs are one dangerous team. If they find consistency they may have a say as to who wins the league.

Indiana State looks like they are a little better team than first thought(atleast at home). And UNI is alot worse team than previously thought(in my book).

Yeah I don't quite understand it. If you saw the game last week at Evansville you'd realize ISU just isn't that good.

Kelly and Lathan seems to be deterrants when it comes to the team game....maybe reason 1 why they transferred.

Wyoming beat them by 30 but they played Notre Dame and Purdue close.....I don't know yet. Maybe, but I am not sold. I say that and they'll probably get us twice.

May be why IN St has played so well in conference. Lathan has missed the last two games (both wins) and Kelly all four.

Its really not mysterious at all. UNI has NEVER scored 70 points versus a division 1 team ALL YEAR. They are 304th in the NCAA in scoring. Just as a comparison - WSU has scored less then 70 only three times.

Think about that - UNI has played some pretty terrible teams like SIU Edwardsville, South Carolina State, and North Dakota and could not score 70 against any. They just dont have the scoring ability to "put a team away".

Another issue for UNI is being a bit undersized - starters for the ISU game were:

                            Jake Koch 6'9''
                            Lucas O'Rear 6'6''
                            Kwadzo Ahelegbe 6'2''
                            Johnny Moran 6'1''
                            Anthony James 6'

Good points about UNI, Ixiah. But THERE is a potential stumbling block for WSU.. at Indiana State. I thought that the first two minutes I saw them play against whomever it was. I just don't think ISU on the road will be like BU and ISU (red) were on the road. WSU will have to win some (perhaps unexpected) close fought games this year in the Valley.
