One of these guys will not be coming off the bench much longer.

I assume you are talking about Smith...but I don't thin GM makes the change. Hatch will come out of his draught and Smith has given such a spark off the bench and played so well. A change could affect Smith's approach or give added pressure. I think we see the same lineup. I love having Blair, and Smith come in the game.

          Agreed. For now.

If Hatch continues to struggle, putting him on the bench might take some pressure off and get him going again.

Don't fix a thing right now, it's not broken.

What matters is who plays, not who starts.

Think about how disheartening it is for the other team to see the very productive Blair and Smith coming into the game when you are putting in far less productive players to counter them. So what do you do, leave your starters in who've already played 5-6 minutes? When do you take them out then, when WSU's starters come back in?

For some reason starting with Shocker Madness night, I've felt that Smith would be a major key to the final success of this team in March, along with Blair. Now's a time to finalize that role and get them both ultra-comfortable so that their productivity can max out.

Set the tone early defensively with Ellis and Hatch, then bring in the energy and skill with Smith and Blair (and size/speed of Stutz and Ragland/Williams) and let it roll, baby.

Very soon, Blair will hear the clock ticking on his career and we could be in for a treat, as long his back holds up.

I agree with ISASO in let Hatch and Ellis set the tone defensively and then bring in Blair and Smith. Just looking at Hatch, his stare tells the other team that nothing is going to come easy tonite.
