I still remember a 3-6 road record last year in the Valley, winning at the 6th, 7th, and 8th place teams' home floors. So far, we've only had one true road game this year and we failed.

Until I see actual proof of the contrary, I'm leaning towards the Braves in a close one. I don't care how decimated they are with injuries.

I hope I'm proven wrong and this team takes road games in the Valley seriously, no matter who they are against..

      ShockerFever are you serious?

This game will not be competetive.

You must be a downer when you drink, sf. Lighten up buddy! It's the new year and this is a new team. I feel bad for bradley because injuries are holding them back but were going to stomp them. Or at least beat them. Either way I'm ok.

Everyone likes a blow-out, but I'm concerned that we do not underate anyone on the road. It could very easily be much be closer than we might think.

Some of you need to get over the SDSU loss. That was not a 'failure'. They are 14-0 and 7th in the nation for goodness sake. I think we just might have a slightly better chance against 6-6 Bradley.

True, but this year's Bradley team is a 6th 7th or 8th place team...so in that context we should win!

What place did Evansville finish last year? How many times did they win in the Valley?

A home blowout win against Evansville sure has quickly changed a few of your perspectives on things.

Although I am in the camp of conservatism, predicting a Bradley win is going overboard. And as far as one "true" road game, poppy cock. LSU was a road game folks. And although it was the tale of two cities, we won. Shock-it-to-me is correct, about SDSU. We could have played reasonably well and still lost. The Bradley game is huge in the respect that we have to establish, in league, we will take no prisoners. Any thing less than a double digit win is unacceptable. It's time to send a definitive message to the pretenders in this league...tonight in Pee-oria!

Well, then I guess I'm going overboard. Shocks win by 45.

LSU was not a road game. That was about as weak of an atmosphere, attending crowd, etc. as you can get. I bet close to 1/4 of the fans were WSU fans. Another 1/2 were just there to watch the game. You could tell because there was never any noise in the place.

                          Echo echo echo...

But to be fair, I expect the Bradley atmosphere to be similar to the LSU one, fever.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Fev - A 45 point Shocker win. What are you thinking? You must have the Shocks going to the final four, huh? ;-)

Before you go Fev on me...I'm just having some fun. But seriously you can split all the hairs you want, but the state of Louisiana is about two states away from Kansas. We prepared to travel like we were going to Normal or Carbondale. We wore road uniforms, had a foreign locker room and stayed in a hotel. It's not a fault of Wichita State that the atmosphere was weak. IT WAS A ROAD GAME...and the good news was, we won. And that is important in the incremental progress this team is making.

It would only match LSU because school is on break....otherwise it is a difficult place to play with the obnoxious student drunks sitting only about 10 feet from the visitor's bench, and their main object is to keep the opposition rattled in a close game.

I'm not sure where students nowaday get the money required to pay stadium beer prices, but it flows in Peoria.

Doesn't matter. You said that WSU only won on the road at the 6th, 7th and 8th place Valley teams last year. That is where Bradley will likely end up this year. So if we could win on the road against the 6th, 7th or 8th place Valley team last year...why not this year?

Shox will lose probably 3 or 4 road games in the Valley this year. This one shouldn't be one of them. You can't ignore how much Bradley has been hit by injuries. That will have a huge impact on where they end up finishing in the Valley this year, thus it also has an impact on the outcome of this game. Before the injuries I actually tabbed this as a loss before the season started. Now, I just don't think the Shox should lose this one.
