Mo state leads uni by one with 2.5 seconds left at UNI.

UNI came in with a 41 rpi, SMS around 86.

MSU won. That gives the Bears a leg up on the conference race already, winning a tough roadie.

I know it is really early to make assessments. But it seems like this conference does everything it can to make sure it is a one bid league.

UNI with a 41 rpi and some decent wins over New Mexico, Indiana, Iowa State and TCU had a real chance to give the Valley a second team in the at large picture.

SMSU with a mid 80s rpi and no notable non-con wins of any kind really doesn't have much of a chance to get itself into a postition to get an at large look.

Oh well. A big win for the Bears.

I've felt all along that UNI was the fourth best team in this league. There is a lot of season left to play, but the Bears win just doesn't suprise me.

This is what happens when the team plays a full 40 minutes and what I expected. Now that they got the taste, hopefully we can expect more of this in the future.

This was the same Evansville that marched into Butler and was victorious. Our hair was on fire tonight and we played as close to 40 minutes as we can muster up.
